January Newsletter
DSC-FSC member, welcome to 2014 and the cold that is coming with it. We had a very good year in 2013 with membership numbers and we thank you all. We really would like to maintain and grow even more in 2014. Your membership provides you with a place to shoot and covers many bills that most of you do not see. One example would be the $2532.14 for the insuring of DSC for 2014. Another is the $400 it will cost us to put a new alarm system in. We also intend to ad on some storage space when the weather gets nicer. All in all you being part of DSC makes it possible for everyone to continue to have a place to shoot. Many of you have sent me your e-mail and NRA numbers which we need to conserve money on mailing and to be able to qualify for grant money for the range. Thank you. It is time to pay your 2014 dues. $60 for a family. Send to PO Box 795 , Mitchell SD 57301.
Thanks Chuck

December Newsletter
DSC-FSC member, on December 2nd we will have our annual meeting which does include election of officers. We may need a couple of board members and of course all positions are open if you want to be part of the leadership. We will be having some food, for the evening, so please come and be part of the group. It is also time for you to pay your membership dues for 2014. The bargin price of $60 per family is still in place. Please send your dues money to DSC, PO Box 795, Mitchell SD 57301. Please also include your e-mail address if you have one, and also your NRA membership number. I have had some what of a hard time reading some of the hand written info, so please do it as legible as you can. The e-mail saves us at least .55 cents a month per member. We wish all of you a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

November Newsletter
DSC-FSC member,
It is time for the DSC league shooting to start. The first night will be Nov. 7th at 7P. We will start with the pistol league. This will be both .22 and center fire events. The cost is $10 per event for the season. This cost covers the cost of the targets and little more. On the 14th we will start the DSC rifle league. This is a four position .22 rifle competition. The cost for this is $10. We would like to encourage all members to come out and participate or at the very least stop in and become familiar with the process and to visit with the participants. It is also time to remind all members that dues for 2014 are due with the end date being 12-31-2013. We to get all the NRA numbers for all members so that we may stay a 100% NRA club. The importance of this is to be able to apply for monies to improve the DSC range. December 3rd will be our annual meeting and election of officers for 2014. Please send your $60 dues to DSC, PO Box 795, Mitchell SD 57301.

October Newsletter
DSC-FSC member,
We have made it through another long summer and are almost to the Pheasant Opener. We would wish that all of you will be safe and sound during the up-coming pheasant and all hunting seasons. We should all start thinking about our fall/ winter shooting season as well. It will soon be time to be open on Tuesday’s and have the local league shooting on Thursday evenings. Anyone that can help or is interested in any type of participation in the league should come to a meeting or get in touch with me at 996-4190 or at least watch for info in the newsletter.

September Newsletter
DSC-FSC member,
The summer is going fast and school is starting again we want to thank all of you for being part of DSC and FSC for the first part of the year and hope you will continue to enjoy the indoor range throughout the rest of the year. We do still need for those of you that have keys for opening the range to come to a meeting and get the NEW Code for the alarm. You do have a duty to all of the other members to either continue to help out by opening the range for shooting or turn your key in and tell us we will need to ask for other people to help out. The other issue that concerns all of you is the fact that we are a 100% NRA club which means that we all need to be paid up members of the NRA. I am still missing a number of NRA numbers which we do need to have listed to maintain our club status. I know it is one more bill to pay but the importance of your ongoing support of 2nd Amendment and the Constitution and the big picture of our whole country cannot be overstated. Many lives have been given over the years for the dream that was started in 1776. Many lives are still being given to support that dream please do your part in a small way to pay it back and forward. Rather philosophical, I know, but think about it. I personally want to thank all of you for being part of DSC-FSC something that’s been part of my life for more than 35 years. Continue to come and enjoy what we have to offer.
Respectfully, Chuck O.

August Newsletter
DSC-FSC Member, those of you that have key’s to access the DSC range for working or board members you will need to get to a meeting or contact one of the board members to get the new code for the alarm. If you do not do this you will have no way to enter the range without having the alarm go off. The range alarm will be activated after the meeting on August 6th. You can also come to the open range times and register with the range officer to verify that you have a key and your working times during the year. Board members need to have access, therefore are exempt, except for getting the alarm code.
We have found more club property missing and no one is saying where it went. Why would anyone think that they can do this?
Chuck Oster
